Developments
Our ongoing development programme helps ensure that we continue to offer the best possible learning experience for all pupils at Rookwood.
Latest Developments
A range of developments have taken place so far this academic year.
- An exciting new Drama facility – Two dedicated black box theatre spaces are being developed, providing opportunities for performance, Drama teaching and, in time, technical theatre including lighting and sound.
- A brand-new Food Technology classroom – Our new purpose-built Food Technology space in the Science and Arts building is now open, giving pupils a modern environment in which to learn, create and develop practical skills.
- Enhanced Learning Support facilities – Three dedicated spaces have been created for our Learning Support team, strengthening the individual and small-group support available to pupils across the school.
- A new Prep Library & Learning Centre – The Rookery attic is being transformed into an inspiring library and learning space, with dedicated book storage, comfortable furnishings and areas for pupils to read, work and learn together.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, we are incredibly excited to announce that we will soon be able to offer all-year round swimming in our 25-metre pool. The development will include an update of the changing and toilet facilities.
