Year on year success

Rookwood maintains a strong track record for exam success at GCSE level and looks forward to seeing the results from our first A-Level cohort in September 2022.

GCSE Results 2022

Rookwood School is delighted to share another excellent year of GCSE exam results with a 94% pass rate (Grade 4 or above) and 40% of grades being at Grade 7 or above, equivalent to an A or A*.

Headmaster, Anthony Kirk-Burgess, said “As a non-selective school, we are always delighted with the progress our students make during their time at Rookwood. Students develop their skills both academically and more broadly through their extra-curricular activities. These grades represent the culmination of all of the hard work of the staff and students. I am particularly impressed given the challenges they have experienced with the disruption to teaching and learning during the pandemic.”

This year the school offers particular congratulations to Lily who achieved eight Grade 9s and two Grade 8s, Andrew with 10 GCSEs, seven at Grade 9, and Luke with 10 GCSEs, six at Grade 9.

It has been a pleasure to nurture our current Year 11 students through their GCSEs and support them as they developed confidence in their abilities and skills post lockdown. We look forward to welcoming them back into the sixth form as they progress to A-level studies.
